U.S. should fully resume military exercises with S. Korea following Kim threat: Bolton Updated: 2020-01-02 07:09:20 KST

Former U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton says Washington should resume all military exercises with Seoul, and hold congressional hearings on troop readiness in response to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's recent threats.
Posting on Twitter on Wednesday, Bolton called on the U.S. to fully resume all canceled or scaled-down military exercises in South Korea after Kim said he no longer has to abide by a ban on testing nuclear weapons.
Bolton also questioned whether American troops on the peninsula are truly ready to 'fight tonight', referring to the motto of the U.S. military in South Korea.
