S. Korea to conduct COVID-19 tests at doctors' discretion regardless of travel history Updated: 2020-02-20 16:57:52 KST

Starting today, doctors can test inpatients they suspect of having COVID-19 even if they haven't been abroad recently.
This follows the latest guidelines set by Korea's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The new measure will broaden screening, and make it easier to detect coronavirus cases.
Also, those diagnosed with any type of unidentified pneumonia will now be isolated in either quarantine rooms or one-bed hospital rooms and will be tested for the virus.
