John Bolton claims there's no 'hotline' between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Speaking to a South Korean newspaper via video chat, Trump's ex-National Security Advisor said his former boss says a lot of things that aren't factually correct.
Shortly after the Singapore summit two years ago, President Trump said he passed a direct number to Kim, on which he could be reached.
Bolton was also pressed on the likelihood of the Trump administration pulling American troops out of South Korea.
He said President Trump may forge ahead with the plan despite opposition from Congress.
Bolton added the National Defense Authorization Act does not override a decision made by the president as laid out in the U.S. Constitution.
He said withdrawing U.S. troops from South Korea, Japan and other nations is an item on the "real" list, in other words, something Trump is seriously considering.
