U.S. stocks finished broadly higher Tuesday with investors calculating bank earnings reports.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up over 500 points, or 2-percent, and the S&P 500 was over 1.3 percent higher at 51-97
The NASDAQ gained about a percent to finish the day at 10-thousand 488.
Oil prices picked up a little, driven by supply cuts imposed by OPEC and Russia.
Brent Crude added a little less than a percent, and WTI too, about a similar percentage amount to close the day at 40-dollars 47-cents a barrel.
