Former U.S. first lady says she's dealing with "low-grade depression" Updated: 2020-08-07 05:29:38 KST

Former U.S. first lady, Michelle Obama says she's dealing with "some form of low-grade depression".
In her podcast released on Wednesday, she said it's "dispiriting", not just because of the COVID-19 quarantine, but due to racial injustice, and the "hypocrisy" of the Trump administration.
She said she's had difficulties sleeping,… waking up in the middle of the night over worries or feelings of "heaviness".
She suggested "maintaining schedule" as the key to managing such feelings, and added that routines have become even more important to her amid the pandemic.
She also said managing "emotional highs and lows" requires knowing who you are, and the things that bring you joy.
