Good morning. Jeju and Korea's south coast will be feeling an even stronger impact from Typhoon Chanthu. The typhoon will be hovering near waters south of Jeju Friday morning, passing through the Strait of Korea that afternoon.
A typhoon warning has been expanded to waters in the southern parts of the West Sea, and waters of Jeju. Typhoon related alerts will be expanded as the day goes on. Please stay alert.
Right now though, we have drizzle on Jejubut it will pick up from this afternoon and they could dump more than 300 millimeters of torrential rain. The further south you are, the more rainfall you will receive along with strong winds, while northern central regions will not be affected by typhoon.
Morning temperatures are similar to the same time yesterday hovering in the upper teens in most parts.
The afternoon high in the capital and Chuncheon will hit 28 degrees Celsius under sunny skies. Daegu and Busan at 26.
