Russia possibly preparing to attack Ukraine by early next year with more than 92,000 troops Updated: 2021-11-22 17:12:41 KST

The head of Ukraine's defense intelligence agency has said that Russia is planning to attack the country around the end of January or early February with the more than 92-thousand troops it has around Ukraine's borders.
Speaking to the Military Times on Sunday U.S. local time, the official said it would likely involve "airstrikes, artillery and armor attacks" followed by a smaller land incursion through neighboring Belarus.
Citing people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg also reported that the U.S. has shared intelligence, including maps, with European allies that show a buildup of Russian troops and artillery, in preparation for a large-scale push into Ukraine.
