India showcased its latest weaponry, technological advancements and its cultural diversity during their 73rd Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Military tanks, weapons and missiles were showcased throughout the celebrations, followed by traditional dance and art performances.
India won independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, but it wasn't until January 26, 1950 that the country declared itself a sovereign republic.
