Various vaccines for children distributed to regions in N. Korea; vaccination to begin soon: UNICEF Spokesperson Updated: 2022-08-09 17:06:58 KST

Vaccines for a number of diseases sent by UNICEF earlier this year will finally become available to children in North Korea.
A UNICEF spokesperson told Radio Free Asia Monday that the vaccines, which protect against diseases such as tetanus and hepatitis B, have been distributed to 13 regions in the North.
The spokesperson said they'll start to be administered soon.
About 296-thousand doses of these vaccines were delivered to the North in late February.
But distribution was delayed due to quarantine procedures.
