The Finance Ministry has shared measures aimed at stabilizing prices ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
High-demand Chuseok items such as cabbage and beef will be released from government reserves while tariffs will be slashed on imported livestock products.
Plans are also in place to distribute nearly 50-million U.S. dollars worth of coupons which consumers can use for discounts of up to 50-percent on certain food items.
Small businesses and merchants will receive around 33-billion dollars in the form of special financial support.
