Healthcare systems across the world have become stretched to their limits, forcing many nations to consider rationing their medical resources for patients who are most in need. At the same time, there are growing whispers that the first COVID-19 vaccines could be administered to citizens in the U.S. and the UK before the end of this year, while Korea is also reported to be inching closer to a new treatment. We sit down with our panel of experts to discuss all of these topics and more.
Although many COVID-19 vaccine candidates have now entered the final stages of human testing, delivering them to all the far corners of the globe is shaping up to be daunting task. This challenge has been made all the more difficult. due to the fact that many of these new vaccines must be stored and transported in a frozen state. However, local firms here in Korea have risen to the occasion, rolling out innovative new technologies and products in the hopes of addressing these logistical hurdles.
