Public vaccination campaigns have kicked off in many countries across the world, and although the news has been met with cheers and excitement from many observers, some have raised concerns about the growing inequality that is bubbling to the surface in vaccine distribution. We sit down with our panel of experts to discuss these issues in more detail. Dry ice has become a “hot” commodity amid the skyrocketing demand for food delivery and more importantly, the storage vaccines to keep them at low temperatures. We visited a dry ice factory located south of Seoul to find out more. A COVID-19 treatment from one Korean drugmaker is now awaiting approval from the country’s drug regulator. Once the green light is given, Korea could have yet another powerful tool in the fight against the pandemic, in addition to the vaccines that are scheduled to roll out in the country next month.
