Public healthcare is the guardian of a nation’s well-being. But in Paraguay, the quality of medical services is below average. A project has been launched to improve the local healthcare sector and make it more accessible to those who are socially vulnerable.

The San Pablo Hospital based in Asunción was founded by Korea and Paraguay to provide advanced medical services particularly to women and newborns.
Maria Health Center, giving hope to local patients
The quality of healthcare in the provincial areas of Paraguay is much worse than in the cities. Patients must wait all day to see a doctor. To make things worse, most of the public health centers use handwritten medical charts, which often results in prescription errors and lack of consistency in treatment. The Maria Health Center is at the forefront of improving the healthcare environment in rural areas.
