In baseball, South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.
US media reported that he signed a four-year, 80-million-U.S. dollar contract, but the Blue Jays have not yet made an official announcement of the deal.
The southpaw's contract could be the biggest ever for a South Korean pitcher, exceeding Park Chan-ho's five-year, 65-million-dollar deal with the Texas Rangers in 2001.
This season with the LA Dodgers, the 32-year old led Major League Baseball with a regular season ERA of 2.3-2.
Ryu finished as runner-up in the vote for the National League Cy Young Award and earned his first MLB all-star selection.
