Because of the tensions between the U.S. and Iran, the South Korean government has launched a crisis response team.
In a meeting at Seoul's foreign ministry on Sunday, officials discussed the latest developments, and reviewed measures to protect South Koreans in the region.
The team will be operating around the clock and keeping in close contact with authorities on site, with their top priority on protecting South Korean people and companies.
The foreign ministry will hold another meeting today with related ministries to analyze the fallout and draw up further response measures.
