Hyundai Motor is developing a flying taxi for the U.S. ride-hailing company Uber.
At CES on Monday, the South Korean carmaker unveiled a prototype for a personal air vehicle dubbed 'S-A1' designed for Uber's promised air taxi network.
The electric-powered aircraft is ideal for use in cities, taking off an landing vertically, so it doesn't need a runway.
It is also quieter than a normal helicopter.
The air taxi will initially seat five people including a pilot, but Hyundai aims to incorporate a self-driving system in the future.
While no details have been revealed about the production date, Uber said it will commercialize the service in 2023.
