Who will be the next Korean sports stars?

Who are Korea's up-and-coming sports stars?
Eyes are on Lee Kang-in, playing for Spanish club team Valencia, and Kim Kwang-hyun, who's set to make his MLB debut with the St. Louis Cardinals.
As South Korea's first Golden Ball winner at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup last June,…Lee scored his first La Liga goal in September.
Since then, however, the 18-year-old did not get much playing time for Valencia before he was out with a quad injury in November.
But given his young age and extraordinary skills, football analysts say 2020 could be Lee's chance to be more competitive in the pro league.

"As football fans know, Lee Kang-in has excellent technique and a football IQ that can help him overcome his physical shortcomings. I think he needs to develop his strengths even further and gain a competitve edge."

Meanwhile, Korean pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun will soon be living his life-long dream of paying Major League Baseball,… having signed a two-year contract this winter worth eight million U.S. dollars with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Over 12 seasons in the Korean league, the 31-year old lefty had an ERA of 3.2-7.
He threw 7.8 strikeouts per nine innings,… cementing his place as one of the best pitchers of his time.
Baseball experts say as long as Kim's body holds up, he can have success in the big leagues as he tries to add more to his pitching arsenal.

"Kim Kwang-hyun's best pitch the slider is already recognized as a dangerous weapon in the Majors. His fastball also has enough speed, but it's hard to overwhelm MLB's big hitters with two pitches. So he should figure how he can mix in other pitches on the mound like slow curves."

Korean sports fans will be watching both Lee Kang-in and Kim Kwang-hyun closely as they aim to become the next superstars in 2020.
