Top diplomats of S. Korea, U.S. to meet in San Francisco next week

The top diplomats of South Korea and the U.S. will hold talks next week in San Francisco.
According to Seoul's foreign ministry, Kang Kyung-wha and her American counterpart Mike Pompeo will meet next Tuesday, local time, to discuss denuclearization and peace on the Peninsula as well as alliance matters.
They are also expected to share views on the Middle East tensions.
Washington may ask Seoul to join a U.S.-led initiative to safeguard the Strait of Hormuz near Iran.
There's also the possibility of a trilateral meeting with Japan, as Tokyo's foreign minister is also expected to be in San Francisco next week.
