The United States has sanctioned two North Korean entities, including one based in China, for facilitating the regime's practice of sending laborers abroad in violation of international sanctions.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department on Tuesday, the sanctions target North Korea-based Namgang Trading Corporation, and a China-based North Korean lodging facility called Beijing Sukbakso.
North Korean workers sent overseas are believed to be a major source of income for the regime.
The sanctions freeze the designated entities' property and interests in the U.S. or in possession of Americans, and bans all U.S. dealings with them.
