Starting this Saturday, people in South Korea will be able to park their cars on roads near some 550 traditional markets.
The government's move is aimed at boosting consumption at domestic markets ahead of the Lunar New Year Holiday later this month.
The streets with free parking can be checked on the website of the interior ministry.
Parking there is free for up to two hours.
Police officers and parking attendants will be deployed to prevent traffic congestion.
