The world's highest-paid volleyball player, Kim Yeon-koung, will hold a press conference this afternoon, marking her return to the Korean V-League after eleven years plying her trade overseas.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest players ever, Kim recently revealed she was rejoining her former club Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders on a year-long deal worth almost 300-thousand U.S. dollars.
The terms of her contract grabbed headlines here as Kim's salary alone is more than the rest of the entire squad combined.
A club official said they initially proposed double the salary to Kim, but she refused, asking instead that her younger teammates be given a pay rise.
Kim's press conference will be held at 2PM, Korea time.
