Stephen Biegun, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and Washington's point-man on North Korea, says another summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-un is unlikely before the U.S. presidential election in November.
Speaking at a U.S. thinktank's virtual forum on Monday, Biegun said that, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's hard to imagine an in-person international summit happening, but Washington is "certainly" prepared to engage with Pyeongyang.
He added that a denuclearization deal depends on the North as the U.S. has already presented the regime with a detailed plan.
