The defense chiefs of the U.S., Japan, and Australia have called on North Korea to cease actions that pose threats to the region.
The three ministers met virtually on Tuesday to discuss various defense issues including North Korea's repeated violations of multiple UN Security Council Resolutions.
In a joint statement, they urged Pyeongyang to come back to the negotiating table and achieve a "complete, verifiable and irreversible dismantlement" of its WMD.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to the current sanctions against the North.
