Seung-min, heatwave alerts has been expanded to more areas today but sporadic showers are in store tonight. What can you tell us?
Well, Jung-hee. Along with clear skies, the heatwave is back. Heatwave advisories have been expanded to more regions, including parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeongsang-do provinces. The UV ray index is set to stand at level 'very high' nationwide, so make sure to wear plenty of sunblock.
As readings are fluctuating frequently throughout the day, unstable atmospheric conditions are continuing was well. In most inland regions and in parts of Gangwon-do Province, sporadic showers of 5 to 40 millimeters will come and go until later tonight.
For tomorrow, Seoul, Daegu and Busan will all start off at 21 degrees Celsius.
Daytime highs in Seoul will hit 33 degrees, Daegu 30 and Busan at 27.
A rainy front is set to return tomorrow. Showers will start from Jeju Island tomorrow afternoon and rainclouds will gradually spread across southern regions. By Friday, we can expect nationwide rain.
For Korea's neighbors, Beijing and Tokyo will have a brief spell of rain.
