The S&P 500, also was up by nearly one-percent and the NASDAQ added over one-and-a-half percent to reach another record high of 10-thousand 492.
Oil prices were also in the black, despite continued concerns about COVID-19.
Brent crude was up half-a-percent.
WTI also added point-6 percent to trade at just under 41 dollars a barrel.
