The Korean company Nongshim, best known for its instant noodles brand Shin Ramyeon, posted record-high sales in the United States in the first half of this year.
The company says its sales came to 164 million dollars, up 35 percent on year.
Sales were up at major U.S. retailers such as Walmart, Costco and Amazon.
The increase was led by products under the Shin Ramyeon brand, but a significant rise was also seen in other Nongshim products, including its cup noodles.
The company attributed the growth to the increasing appeal of its products among different ethnicities in the U.S. and to greater demand for instant food due to the pandemic.
