Seoul's first vice foreign minister headed for Vienna on Tuesday, to meet representatives from countries looking to restore the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
This includes a group known as the "P5 plus one," including the U.S., China, France, Russia, Britain and Germany.
Choi Jong-kun will be meeting each representative from these countries until Sunday.
South Korea is not directly related to the Iran nuclear deal, but it has been exchanging views regarding the restoration of the agreement as Tehran's funds are currently locked in the nation's banks under U.S. sanctions.
