Major U.S. indices were mixed on Thursday after traders looked past positive jobless claim numbers and turned more pessimistic about the COVID-19 resurgence in the country.
The Dow Jones was down over one-percent at 25-thousand 706 and the NASDAQ, too lost half-a-percent.
Tech giants, however, continued to rally and pushed up the NASDAQ to another record close, up half-a-percent to 10-thousand 547.
Oil prices dropped sharply on Thursday.
Brent Crude fell 2-percent while WTI was over 3-percent lower at just below 40-dollars a barrel.
