Good afternoon. Frigid air lingers across much of the country with a cold wave advisory covering parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do Provinces since Monday while the east coast has been under a dry weather advisory for five straight days. Be careful with anything that could start a wildfire. January is also the most common time of the year for house fires so be careful at home too.
Temperature-wise, the brief cold snap will subside tomorrow afternoon, or even from this afternoon, highs will be a couple of notches higher today in Seoul, hovering slightly above the norms for this time of year.
The top temperatures will range between 4 and 8 degrees Celsius, with a few passing clouds along with decent air quality.
The east coast will see wintry precipitation tomorrow into Saturday, while a mix of rain and snow is in the forecast for central regions and Jeolla-do provinces on Sunday.
