Today marks the 70th anniversary of when the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution to establish the UN Command.
An event was held today in Seoul to offer gratitude for the sacrifices made by Korean War veterans from the 22 countries that fought under the UN flag seven decades ago.
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said the ambassadors to South Korea from each of the 22 countries received the Plaque of Peace.
The plaques are made of smelted parts of barbed-wire fences and military equipment that had been found in the Demilitarized Zone.
