South Korea's daily COVID-19 tally remained below 4-thousand on Friday, with 3-thousand 9-hundred-and-one cases.
However, the number of critically-ill patients is breaking record after record.
The country saw an all-time high of 6-hundred 17 severely-ill patients on Friday.
Nationwide, 84.5 percent of hospital beds for critically-ill patients are occupied.
The occupancy rate is even higher in the capital, at 86.4 percent.
Meanwhile, more than 8 in 10 people in Seoul have been fully vaccinated, but over 30-percent of the new infections are breakthrough cases.
