Seoul to send US$ 32 mil. in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan Updated: 2021-11-29 17:14:31 KST

South Korea will provide around 32 million U.S. dollars worth of humanitarian support to Afghanistan, where 95 percent of the population is suffering from food shortages.
Seoul's foreign ministry said Monday that the aid will be sent through the UN organization in Afghanistan and that it will focus on providing food, shelter and basic health.
Among the first to get the aid will be women and children.
The South Korean government also plans to send the same support for Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan.
