S. Korea's Vice FM holds phone talks with seven countries to discuss ways to handle Omicron Updated: 2021-11-30 17:57:53 KST

South Korea's Second Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-moon today held phone talks with his counterparts from seven different countries, including the U.S., Japan and Australia to discuss ways to tackle the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
Seoul's foreign ministry said Tuesday that during the meeting led by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman Choi explained Seoul's efforts to prevent the spread through travel restrictions and booster shot plans.
He also reaffirmed South Korea's commitment to continuing its cooperation in global health efforts.
The diplomats also discussed issues including global supply chains and climate change.
