COVAX completely cut vaccine allotment for N. Korea as country fails to respond Updated: 2022-04-01 08:37:46 KST

The COVAX global COVID-19 vaccine-sharing facility, has completely cut its vaccine allocation for North Korea for this year,.. as the country did not engage with the program.
Citing a COVAX spokesperson, Radio Free Asia reported on Friday that the move comes as the platform shifts towards needs-based vaccine allocation.
While some 1.5 million doses were set aside for the North earlier this year, the country neither arranged shipments or responded to communications.
North Korea is not known to have imported any COVID-19 vaccines, and has been arguing that there are no cases in the country.
COVAX said it is still working toward running a vaccination program in the country.
