Japan slaps additional sanctions on N. Korea over its recent ICBM launch Updated: 2022-04-01 16:27:28 KST

Japan has announced fresh sanctions on North Korea over its ICBM launch last week.
Six North Koreans, three Russians and four Russian entities will have their assets frozen for their involvement in the North's nuclear and missile development.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said at a House of Representatives plenary session on Friday that Japan will continue to do its best to collect information and stay vigilant to ensure the country's peace and safety.
Tokyo has imposed its own sanctions separate from those by the UN Security Council against Pyeongyang since 2006.
