With oil prices soaring, South Korea's flagship carrier, Korean Air, is set to raise its fuel surcharge to another record high next month on international flights.
According to Korean Air, this will raise the surcharge for an international one-way ticket to as much as around 228 U.S. dollars.
This month, it's at about 210 dollars.
Surcharges on domestic flights will rise from the current 11 dollars to about 13 dollars.
There's concern that this could hurt demand for international travel, which has only just begun to recover since South Korea eased its COVID-19 restrictions for people entering the country.
