S. Korean Volleyball Federation to permanently ban athletes with history of bullying Updated: 2021-02-17 10:09:29 KST

Following the bullying scandal surrounding the Lee twins of South Korea's volleyball league, the Korean Volleyball Federation announced that it will issue lifetime bans to athletes with a history of school violence.
The volleyball federation said it will amend its rules, which currently only permanently ban players who have committed sexual misconduct, to include bullying.
The proposed change will require athletes entering rookie drafts to submit authorized written pledges that they have not engaged in any abusive behavior with their teammates.
Because the amendment will be made at a board of governors meeting at a later date, the rule will not apply retroactively to the Lee twins.
