U.S. military wrapped up exercise of missile defense units in Indo-Pacific Updated: 2021-03-31 06:06:13 KST

The U.S. military completed a two-week training of its missile defense units in the Indo-Pacific region in an apparent move to better counter ballistic missile attacks from North Korea and China.
According to the U.S. Army website the "combined command post training," which wrapped up on March 12th, involved the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in South Korea.
The Brigade in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do Province is in charge of operating the Patriot and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile defense systems installed in South Korea's Seongju base in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
It is speculated that the exercise is intended to test the improvements being made to integrate the THAAD and Patriot missile interceptor systems.
