Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min made history on Sunday, when his corner in the 5th minute assisted Serge Aurier in finding the back of the net, giving Son a combined 100 goals and assists in the English Premier League.
It makes him the first Asian footballer to reach the milestone, helping his team to a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
This season, the South Korean international has 12 goals and 6 assists in the EPL, and 16 goals and 9 assists in all competitions.
Having joined the London side in 2015, Son has tallied 65 goals and 35 assists in league matches, becoming just the 7th Spurs player to reach that mark.
According to statistics compiled by understat.com, Son Heung-min is the most consistent goal scorers in the world, able to score more times than the chances predicted based on understat's expected goals measure.
Since August 2016, Son is scoring a jaw-dropping 44-percent above his expected goals, over period in which he's scored 61 times.
That's the highest in the world, topping his teammate Harry Kane and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Son might not be done yet when it comes to setting records.
This season, Son and Harry Kane have combined for 13 goals in the EPL and are on course to break the previous record set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton for Blackburn Rovers during the 1994-1995 season.
With plenty more matches left in the EPL season, analysts say the pair are in a great position to shatter that record.
