The U.S. Senate will vote Wednesday on legislation to codify abortion rights into law.
This according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Speaking on Sunday, Schumer said he will file cloture on Monday and the senate will vote on the bill two days later.
This comes after a Supreme Court draft opinion was leaked last week, indicating the majority of justices appear poised to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe versus Wade ruling.
Roe versus Wade is the legal precedent ensuring abortion access for Americans.
