President Yoon Suk-yeol has presided over a meeting on economy and finance.
Officials say President Yoon called for "preemptive measures" to overcome the current economic situation, adding that he's concerned about people's livelihoods during this period of economic volatility.
The meeting was held on Friday morning at the Korea Center for International Finance in Seoul and was attended by finance minister Choo Kyung-ho and Bank of Korea Governor Rhee Chang-yong as well as experts in the field.
The presidential office said it was Yoon's first trip outside of his office since become president, adding it shows his will to prioritize the economy and improve people's livelihoods.
