North Korean state media have so far not reported on the regime's test-firing Wednesday of three ballistic missiles, including one suspected ICBM.
Typically, the North has reported on launches the next day, but in fact, it has not covered any of the four times the regime's fired missiles this month.
An official at South Korea's Unification Ministry said Thursday that this is likely a political calculation linked to a number of possible factors, including what the official referred to as the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
Even without publicizing the launches, the regime provoked a show of force from South Korea and the U.S., who launched missiles of their own, and just days earlier, President Biden said he's prepared to deploy America's strategic assets, including nuclear weapons.
