BRICS member nations have pledged their support for the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula at their 14th summit held in Beijing on Thursday.
China's CCTV reported that the leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa issued the Beijing Declaration, which underlined peaceful and diplomatic talks to solve the issue.
The bloc also supported talks between Russia and Ukraine and voiced concerns over the humanitarian situation in and around Ukraine.
But there was no comment on sanctions slapped on Russia by the U.S. and Europe for its invasion of Ukraine, despite reports that Brazil, India and South Africa disagreed with China and Russia who opposed the sanctions.
