The heads of the EU's three main institutions - the Parliament, the Council and the Commission - have signed regulation on the bloc's vaccine passports for travel.
During the ceremony on Tuesday, David Sassoli, Ursula von der Leyen and Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa put pen to paper on the regulation, which takes effective from July 1st.
The certificate will be issued to travelers who have been vaccinated with one of the vaccines approved by the EMA, those who've recently recovered from COVID-19, as well as those who test negative for the virus.
