Welcome, it's time for the 'World Now'. Bringing you some of the most interesting news from around the globe, I'm Eum Ji-young.
A 'Mars Camp' has been built here on Earth.
In order to prepare for exploration and get a better understanding of the red planet, China is reproducing the environmental conditions on Mars.
The simulation camp, covering 702 hectares, has been created in Lenghu Town in northwest China's Qinghai Province.
The town has been dubbed the "most Martian place on Earth" as experts claim that the landscape, rocks, sand and even temperatures resemble the red planet.
The 'Mars Camp' has facilities including a tourism center, a Mars community and a simulation base.
