South Korea has ranked 23rd in global competitiveness among 64 economies for the second straight year.
The Swiss-based International Institute for Management Development said Thursday that the country maintained its spot by minimizing the economic fallout from the pandemic.
Out of the four key categories, South Korea's economic performance and business efficiency jumped from last year but the country saw government efficiency and infrastructure fall during the same period.
Switzerland topped the list, followed by Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Singapore.
