With COVID-19, online classes have become the new normal.
When a student starts nodding off during class, their concentration score is lowered and a warning notification pops up.
Students who leave their seat or have bad posture also see their score drop.
This artificial intelligence solution for non-face-to-face learning was developed by five university students.

"A 20 percent change of angle lets the A.I. detect that the student's head is out of place if they remain in that position for a while, the A.I. registers that the student is doing something else."

This A.I. technology can also be applied to CCTV to automatically detect a fight and sound a warning.
"Stop, Stop "
The technology is able to tell the difference between play and assault with 96 percent accuracy.

"Based on what I learned in my third year of artificial intelligence, computer vision and networking I applied what I'd learned about how artificial intelligence models work and how to use them."

The government first started supporting eight universities that nurture students with specialized software skills back in 2015. The number of universities has grown every year since to 41 today.

The government aims to increase the number of software development focused universities it supports to 64 by the year 2025, and hopes to support over 410-thousand students in the field.
