Top nuke envoys of S. Korea, U.S., Japan hold phone talks to discuss N. Korea's missile launch

South Korea's top nuclear envoy Noh Kyu-duk held phone talks Monday with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts to discuss the missile launch by North Korea earlier in the day, the latest in a series of launches in the past couple of weeks.
Noh spoke with with U.S. Special Representative Sung Kim, and their counterpart in Japan, Takehiro Funakoshi.
The Foreign Ministry in Seoul said they agreed to work together to closely to manage the situation on the Korean Peninsula in a stable manner and resume dialogue with the North.
The State Department said the U.S. is going to push for new UN sanctions against the North, though it remains open to dialogue.
