The United States has reportedly called a meeting of the UN Security Council this Thursday to discuss North Korea to discuss the four missile tests the regime's conducted so far this year.
That's according to AFP, citing an unnamed source, which says it'll be a closed-door meeting and that the meeting had support from countries including Albania, Britain, France, Ireland and Mexico.
The U.S. says it continues to take North Korea's missile program "very seriously".
Asked if Washington is downplaying the North's recent moves, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said Tuesday that the U.S. has tangible commitments to the defense of South Korea and the launches are violations of UN Security Council resolutions.
