It's been a month since North Korea reported its first case of COVID-19, and now the regime claims that its daily tally has dropped to below 40-thousand.
The North's state media on Monday said new cases came to around 36,710.
That's a huge drop compared to the total a month ago of more than 390-thousand.
Monday's report did not include the number of new deaths or the total death toll so far.
South Korea's Unification Ministry said Monday that the North could announce within this month that the crisis is over.
But there's doubt about the total deaths so far which on Saturday was extraordinarily low at just 72 a figure reports say is kep low by the regime to maintain calm among the North Korean people.
